Soft Bias

Lucien Freud depicts in “Benefits Supervisor Sleeping,” a nude, obese woman sprawled on a couch. So heavy, her crushing weight depresses the couch itself. Soft Bias is a project establishing an akin relationship through fabric formed positive/negative concrete casts. With a non-rigid formwork such as this, it allows concrete to take on an unpredictable forms depressed by gravity and its own weight.
